(1) Tablespoon, Montreal Steak Seasoning

(1) Tablespoon, Soy sauce

(1) Tablespoon, Worcestershire Sauce

Cooking Steps: Season and Rub Your Meat

The First Step is to prepare your meat. Take the filet and rub the Montreal seasoning mix into all sides of the steaks. Place steaks in a shallow dish and cover with Soy Sauce and Worcestershire Sauce. Allow to sit with sauce in dish for 10 minutes.

Start Oven…

Next step is to take half a stick of butter and rub  a thick coat of the butter on the top and bottom of each steak. Take Oven safe, casserole dish and place steaks into the pan. Place “un-covered Casserole dish with steaks into Oven and let them broil for 10 minutes.

Cooking Tip: I am using 2 ½- 3” inch steaks and I want a fully cooked steak. In order for my steaks to be Medium Rare, I will have to broil them at least 10 -12 minutes, uncovered. After I reach the 10 minute mark, I will place the lid over the steaks and allow them to broil for another 10 minutes. Turn OFF broil at the 20-minute mark and leave the lid over the steaks and allow the steaks to cool out of the oven…

Cooking Step: Peppers and Mushroom Prep

While I am letting the steaks cool, it’s time to start my peppers and mushrooms. Take a bowl of sliced peppers and mushrooms and sprinkle a good dose of the Montreal Seasoning and some Worcestershire Sauce. Heat up a lightly oiled Fry Pan and drop the mixture of veggies into the pan; stir occasionally to avoid burning peppers. Serve warm.
